In this section of the Foundation site, you can download three different versions of the classic verse about Mata Gujri. The verses are titled I, II and III. To listen to one of the verses, click on the logo and it will bring up the presentation on how the logo was created and what it represents. The magical voice you hear is Mr. Kulwant Singh Dhanjal from California USA. Not only is his voice captivating, he is also a master Dhol Player. The original wording comes from Narinder Biba’s album, Saka Sirhind.
The song titled “Aao Nachiye” (Let’s Dance), is from the album: Celebrate, by Sangeet Group of California. This album was released in 1995 by Sukie Uppal Recording and Entertainment (SURE). The song became an instant hit all over the world, and is still played at Punjabi functions 15 years later. This song has also been re-released by Music Waves and T-Series, two successful Indian record companies. The popularity of the song did not stop with just the Punjabi and Indian community. This song is also featured in the book, Soundscapes by Kay Kaufman Shelemay, Harvard University and is published by W.W. Norton and Company Inc.
